ArmInfo. Curently, there has been no decision regarding the extension of the European Union Civilian Observer Mission (EUMA) in Armenia. This was announced by Vassilis Maragos, the head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, at a briefing with journalists on November 18 in Dilijan as part of the conference "Educational Dialogue Armenia-EU".
"We are actively working in this direction, and as soon as a decision is made, we will immediately inform about it," the ambassador added. Referring to Baku's criticism of the European observers in Armenia, the ambassador assured that EUMA is effectively carrying out its duties with a well-defined mandate. He mentioned that the mission is a civilian effort aimed at facilitating negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. "The mission promotes peace talks in the Caucasus. We hope that all issues between the two countries will be resolved peacefully," the ambassador concluded.
