ArmInfo. Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia Karen Andreasyan has resigned. He announced this on his Facebook account.
At the same time, he did not reveal the underlying reasons for his move, only noting that he decided to act proactively against the backdrop of a parade of resignations in the team of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and is leaving both the post of head of the Air Force and ceasing to be a member of the Air Force.
"I don't want to talk about the underlying causes. Whatever I say, a thousand and one false hypotheses will be put forward. I have already had such an experience. Instead, let me immodestly state that I have led the judicial system out of a shameful crisis. People inside the system know this for sure and probably admit it (except for some and their relatives, whom I have hurt for the sake of surgical treatment of the system). I have also laid dozens of institutional foundations that, if not destroyed, will benefit everyone who comes to the judicial system in a year or two. All our current failures in the judicial system are a medium-term perspective, because today's fair demands cannot be satisfied in two years, and we want to satisfy unfair expectations," Andreasyan wrote.
At the same time, he thanked the legislative and executive branches, headed by the Prime Minister, as well as former and current members of the Supreme Judicial Council for their support and trust.
"I am leaving without scandal, bile and disappointment, I have held this toxic position longer than anyone else. I sincerely believe in tomorrow's concept of a fair court in a strong Armenia. I will continue to support this greatest dream in various statuses," Andreasyan concluded.
It is noteworthy that Andreasyan wrote this post on Facebook after reports began circulating in the Armenian media about the resignation of Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia Rustam Badasyan, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia Argishti Kyaramyan, Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan, as well as Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee Sasun Khachatryan.
