ArmInfo. Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Artur Martirosyan visited the Akhuryan community of Shirak region, where he got acquainted with the progress of construction works of the youth center "Akhuryan Youth Hub".
"We expect that this center will become a very important environment for the development of all types of abilities of young people. The center should also serve as a platform for increasing the civic activity of young people, organizing intellectual entertainment and ensuring awareness, which will create an additional opportunity to learn about government programs and become an active participant in them," said Artur Martirosyan.
During the visit, Artur Martirosyan was interested in the significance of various sections of the center, interior design details, issues related to real estate, and especially emphasized the need to ensure inclusiveness. The center has guest lounges, a conference room, a games room, a canteen, and a library with a reading room.
On site, current issues were discussed, the completion dates for construction work were clarified, and prospects for international cooperation were considered.
The center will be located in the former building of the Akhuryanovsky Public Utilities Department, which the city administration granted the right to use free of charge. The center occupies an area of 230 square meters, it will serve 35 neighboring settlements and is designed for approximately 300 young people.
