ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed satisfaction with his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, which took place in Kazan on the sidelines of the BRICS summit. He made this statement on November 13 during the government hour in the National Assembly of Armenia.
According to Pashinyan, he has never had such a long meeting personally with the head of the Azerbaijani state. He acknowledged the correctness regarding the leaders of states, as the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan exchanged views on the situation in their bilateral relations during their speeches. Pashinyan, speaking about the impression formed after the meeting, noted that for peaceful coexistence, Armenia and Azerbaijan need not only a peace treaty, but also a strategic agreement on how both states will live alongside each other for the next 100 years. Pashinyan noted that the topic of unblocking the region's transport infrastructure was also addressed in Kazan, and that both parties can potentially find mutually acceptable solutions. Armenia, as the prime minister noted, had submitted written proposals to Azerbaijan regarding two problematic provisions in the peace treaty.
