"The Third Committee of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly adopted the traditional resolution initiated by Russia on combating the glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to the escalation of modern forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance>. 40 countries co-sponsored it. 116 countries voted "for", 54 voted against, 11 abstained," the Russian diplomat wrote.
She also published a list of countries that spoke out against the condemnation of racism and for the glorification of Nazism: the United States, Canada, Ukraine, Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Moldova, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Austria, Australia, Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Greece, Cyprus, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Japan, Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Georgia, New Zealand, Iceland, Ireland, Kiribati, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malawi, Malta, Norway, San Marino, North Macedonia, Monaco, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, the Republic of Korea, Palau, Tonga, Fiji, Montenegro. It should be noted that in the post-Soviet space the resolution was supported by Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
