ArmInfo. The work on the report of the commission investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war in Nagorno-Karabakh is almost complete. The head of the commission, Chairman of the RA National Assembly Committee on Defense and Security Andranik Kocharyan told journalists on November 11.
According to him, the report is very, very voluminous in its volumes and number of pages. Only the video materials and transcripts, the analysis of which has also been completed, speak of the colossal volume of activities carried out. The deputy assured that the report will be published in full. It is currently in the first section of the National Assembly, and all those who have the right to do so can familiarize themselves with its contents. Some of the opposition deputies have studied the document.
Kocharyan noted that there are many conclusions that will be published later. The MP noted that only in the last two days, materials and speculations regarding the commission's report began to appear in the press, including the alleged possession of some secret materials by the head of the commission, Andranik Kocharyan. "Andranik Kocharyan cannot have secret documents, since the commission was created by the decision of the National Assembly. For this reason, the report is the property of the state and will serve the security interests of the state," the MP assured, assuring that there were no violations of the deadlines for submitting the report.
Kocharyan added that the report, first of all, contains qualitative indicators, and only then quantitative ones. It will be presented in full at one of the plenary sessions of the parliament. Kocharyan noted that criminal cases will definitely be initiated based on the commission's findings. Let us recall that the commission to investigate the circumstances of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan on September 27, 2020 was created by the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia in February 2022. The commission members studied dozens of hours of video recordings, classified documents, and heard dozens of invited officials, including RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
