ArmInfo.The overwhelming majority of respondents in Armenia do not consider it realistic to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan by the end of this year. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the consulting company MPG.
Thus, when asked whether it is possible to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan by the end of this year, only 8.3% of respondents gave an affirmative answer. Another 17.5% consider the signing rather possible, 23.4% - rather impossible, 41.2% - definitely impossible, and another 9.6% found it difficult to answer. At the same time, when asked whether Armenia should continue making concessions to Turkey and Azerbaijan, 90% of respondents said no, since there is nothing left to concede.
Only 7% of respondents are ready for further concessions, and another 3% found it difficult to answer. When asked to express their attitude towards the fact that the Constitutional Court considered the mention of Artsakh in the Declaration of Independence to have no legal force, 51.5% said that they have a negative attitude towards this phenomenon, another 21.3% - rather negative, 5% - positive, 9.8% - rather positive, and 12.4% were unable to express a position.
When asked, a year after the dearmenization of Artsakh, what steps should be taken by the government of Armenia and international organizations to improve the situation of the people of Artsakh, 40.1% spoke in favor of diplomatic pressure and cooperation with the international community to ensure the return of Artsakh citizens to their homes.
At the same time, 29.5% spoke in favor of strengthening regional security, 26.3% - for the implementation of social programs to support and integrate Artsakh residents, 19.6% - for the implementation of economic projects for the deported, 2.6% - gave a different answer, and another 6.4% found it difficult to answer. It should be noted that the survey was conducted through telephone calls to residents of the Republic of Armenia from October 24 to October 30 of this year, the sample size was 1100, the sampling error is +/- 3%.
