ArmInfo. Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan met with Baroness Caroline Cox, a member of the British House of Lords, who arrived in Armenia to attend the reopening ceremony of the Lady Cox Rehabilitation Center in Yerevan.
The center was previously operating in Stepanakert, but ceased to exist after the occupation of Artsakh by Azerbaijan. As reported by the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Hovhannisyan expressed gratitude to Baroness Cox for her long-standing friendship and support for Armenia and the Armenian people.
For her part, the Baroness highly appreciated the comprehensive measures taken by the Armenian government to address the needs of refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh. The parties discussed in detail the potential for joint efforts in the humanitarian sphere and considered issues on the Armenian-British agenda. During the meeting, the Deputy Minister provided updates on the regional agenda of the Armenia-EU partnership, as well as the ongoing process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
