ArmInfo."A lot of slander can be directed at me, and I cannot respond to each of them," Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia Argishti Kyaramyan told journalists on October 30, commenting on the accusations of public activist Tigran Arakelyan about Kyaramyan's use of a stun gun against him. As the head of the Investigative Committee noted, it was for this reason that he refused to give any testimony.
"Within the broad powers of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, various kinds of slander can be heard in any case, but this does not mean that I must make refutations of each such statement," Kyaramyan said, adding that decisions had been made to terminate the criminal proceedings in this case.
Kyaramyan also refuted the alleged clash between him and the parents of the deceased soldiers 1.5 years ago, which the country's public is talking about today. The head of the Investigative Committee emphasized that there is a video recording of that meeting. Based on the parents' statements, the National Security Service prepared the relevant materials, the investigator of which reviewed the video recording and the case was closed.
