ArmInfo. The International Theatre Acoustic School - Laboratory (ITAS) will be held in Yerevan from October 28 to November 5. Young theatre artists from Armenia, Russia, Georgia and Uzbekistan will participate in the event.
The International Theatre Acoustic School is headed by the renowned Russian director and professor of the Moscow Art Theatre School Viktor Ryzhakov. Over the course of 9 days, the master, along with assistant coaches in various theatre directions, will work with 40 young theatre artists from four republics. Throughout this process, a performance will be created that reflects the cultures of participating countries. "Everything that occurs here allows us to believe that art and theater are realms of freedom, where we can exchange the values that past generations have created. In this space, we are energized, which is essential for the existence of the theater. Only through the integration of cultures can we become enriched and move closer to the moment when we can communicate freely through the language of art, regardless of the boundaries that the challenging circumstances of this world may impose," noted Viktor Ryzhakov.
On the Armenian side, the Union of Theater Workers of Armenia (UTW) acts as a co-organizer of the Theater School, with the Yerevan State Theater of Musical Comedy named after A. Paronyan as their partner.
The Chairman of the Union of Theater Workers of Armenia, Hakob Kazanchyan, noted that UTW places great importance on the numerous and diverse educational programs offered by the International Confederation of Theater Unions for young theater artists from the CIS countries and Georgia. The main venues for hosting MTASH classes are the Yerevan State Theater of Musical Comedy named after A. Paronyan (Big and Small Stage, rehearsal halls), as well as the Chamber Stage at UTW. Admission is free for students of the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema and young theatre- goers who wish to observe the work process,
The theatre school-laboratory is a new project of the Moscow International Confederation of Theatre Unions. It is being implemented with the support of the International Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS countries and is a logical continuation of the international director's laboratories, that have been implemented for 25 years by the MKTS and the Moscow International Theatre Festival named after Chekhov.
