ArmInfo. Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan met with a delegation led by Vice President of the French region of Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes Thierry Kovacs. The delegation included mayors and deputy mayors of 6 cities of the Auvergne-Rhone- Alpes region.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, at the meeting the interlocutors exchanged views on the prospects for further deepening of decentralized cooperation between Armenia and France. The importance of successfully holding the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes-Armenia-Syunik event in Lyon, as well as organizing the 5th session of the Armenia-France decentralized cooperation, which will be held next year in the city of Goris, was noted.
Hovhannisyan stressed the importance of the steps taken to expand cooperation between the Auvergne- Rhone-Alpes region of France and the Syunik region of Armenia. The Deputy Minister presented the main priorities of Armenia's foreign policy, including the Armenia-EU partnership. A number of regional issues were also mentioned.
