ArmInfo.Minas Avetisyan's ancestral home in the village of Jajur (Shirak region) will be reconstructed. The corresponding project was discussed during a meeting between Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia Alfred Kocharyan and the director of the Bourdelle House Museum (France) Ophelie Boillot and the director of the International and Regional Department of Paris Museums Celine Marchand.
In particular, Kocharyan noted that the project to reconstruct Minas Avetisyan's house is in the center of attention of the department. He attached importance to this initiative in the context of activating cultural life in the Shirak region and developing tourism.
Celine Marchand presented the project, said that during her two-day visit to Armenia she visited Gyumri and Jajur, where she met with Minas Avetisyan's sons to discuss the possibility of implementing the project. As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, a new exhibition hall will be created in Mirnas Avetisyan's house in accordance with the proposal of the French side. In this regard, the Deputy Minister proposed to form a working group, which will also include representatives of the Foundation for the Development of Culture and the National Gallery of Armenia. During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also discussed, and the parties expressed their readiness to deepen cooperation
