ArmInfo. The Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting in Kazan was in the nature of a meeting between two close friends. This was stated by the head of the opposition parliamentary faction With Honor Hayk Mamijanyan at a briefing in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on October 25.
According to him, purely visual observations suggest this conclusion. As for the substantive side of the issue, as the oppositionist noted, it is a sin to talk about the agreement as peaceful, since in this case we are talking about another pre-election trend of the ruling Civil Contract party in the country. "RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is currently negotiating with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to grant him the right to use the term "peace treaty" as the main postulate of his pre-election promises during early and timely parliamentary elections," Mamijanyan said.
According to him, the person occupying the prime minister's chair does not care to what extent the Armenian state will suffer, because he needs this word - "peaceful". Everything connected with the agreement, the deputy continued, cannot be commented on. "First they declare the need to sign the document, and then insist on signing the agreed points, refuse the mediation of other countries, after which they ask representatives of foreign states and international structures to intervene in the process. It seems that Turkey has taken on the mission of the mediator, since the United States today, against the backdrop of the presidential elections that will take place in 10 days, has no time for the situation in our region," the oppositionist noted.
