Yerevan to host special evening in honor of the 100th anniversary of  Sergei Parajanov

ArmInfo. Yerevan will host a special evening on October 21 and 22, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the talented director,  screenwriter, artist and collage artist Sergei Parajanov.  

On these specific days, at 19:00, the Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after A. Spendiaryan, will be hosting a performance that is unique in both its content and format. It will be filled with memorable fragments from the life, thoughts and voice of Parajanov. The organizers of this evening are the State Philharmonic of Armenia and the Small Theatre.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science,  Culture and Sports, art installations are planned in the lobby of the  Opera House and on the terrace. The performance itself will be shown  on the stage of the Theater.  The evening  will be directed by Vahan  Badalyan, with video provided by Albert Movsisyan, Lusine  Chergeshtyan, and music by Sergei Umroyan.  It should be noted that  the 100th anniversary of Sergei Parajanov is included in UNESCO's  calendar of anniversary events for 2024-2025.
