U.S. has never tied a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan  to COP29

ArmInfo. The U.S. has never tied a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan to COP, Matthew  Miller, Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State, told a  briefing in response to a question concerning Baku's refusal to sign  a peace agreement with Armenia prior to COP. 

"We never tied the agreement to COP. We wanted to see a peace  agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan months ago and have been  pushing for a peace agreement, ultimately hoped to get one over the  line. But that's up to the two parties, not the United States," Mr  Miller said.
