ArmInfo. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will participate in the third meeting of the regional platform "3+3" in Istanbul. This information was provided to an ArmInfo correspondent by Ani Badalyan, the press secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
When asked whether Armenia will participate in the meeting in Istanbul on October 18, announced today by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Badalyan, in particular, noted: "We confirm that Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will take part in the third meeting of the regional platform "3+3". As ArmInfo previously reported, today, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated at a press conference following talks with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Al-Safadi that Ankara expects the participation of the foreign ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Iran in the meeting of the "3+3" platform on the South Caucasus.
"We are continuing to work and consult on the issues of the South Caucasus with the countries of the region in the "3+3" format. I am hopeful that the third meeting of this important platform will be held on October 18 in Istanbul. The meeting will be attended by the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran and Russia," Fidan said. The Russian side has already confirmed its participation in the event at the level of the foreign minister.
