ArmInfo. The Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Relations will discuss draft border delimitation regulations on October 21.
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan will report on the ratification draft <Regulations on the joint activity of the Commission on Delimitation and border security of the State Border between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Commission on the Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia>.
Sargis Khandanyan, the head of the commission, will be the co-rapporteur.
The Armenian Foreign Ministry reported on August 30 that Yerevan and Baku completed the alignment of Regulation on joint activity of the commissions on delimitation and demarcation of the state border. The Regulation was adopted by the Armenian government at a meeting on September 5. It outlines the organization of delimitation work, the adoption of relevant documents, the preparation of a protocol- description for crossing the state border, the development of a delimitation map of the appropriate scale, as well as the work of expert groups. It is also noted that the regulation and accompanying documents that will be implemented will enhance the legal framework for ensuring the full course of delimitation work.
The Regulation addresses procedural issues between the two countries after the signing of the state border treaty. On September 26, the Constitutional Court recognized the Regulation as Constitutional.
