ArmInfo. The ruling majority of the National Assembly of Armenia, represented by the Civil Contract faction, is against the creation of an investigative committee on the implementation of the socio-economic rights of the people of Artsakh. This was stated by the head of the Civil Contract faction of the National Assembly Hayk Konjoryan at a parliamentary session on October 2.
Konjoryan noted that the government and the ruling faction have been implementing various assistance programs to create conditions for organizing the life of the forcibly displaced population of Artsakh in the Republic of Armenia. According to the MP, the public of the country is a daily witness to the work done.
In addition, the parliamentary opposition, within the framework of the powers vested in it by the parliamentary mandate, can receive answers to questions of concern, which the ruling majority is ready to facilitate, including by creating working groups, he added.
He noted that one of the most important missions of the proposed investigative commission should have been the implementation of the parliament's control function. And if the ruling faction did not hear sufficiently substantiated facts the day before, this does not mean that the creation of the commission is not justified, he continued.

On September 9, Secretary of the parliamentary faction of the opposition bloc "Armenia" Artsvik Minasyan, answering a question from the Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan, said that the opposition would come up with an initiative to create an investigative commission on the implementation of the socio-economic rights of the people of Artsakh. Simonyan, in particular, asked what the opposition deputies are doing for the people of Karabakh. "The corresponding draft resolution will be presented in the near future. The draft envisages studying the actions taken and putting forward proposals for the implementation of the socio-economic rights of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh," Minasyan said, answering the head of the parliament. On October 1, Minasyan said in the National Assembly that the creation of the commission would be aimed at studying the conditions for ensuring the life of the people of Artsakh, analyzing the needs assessment system, inconsistencies in the programs being implemented and stating facts. The goal of the commission should be to directly work with the executive power to reveal and solve problems, as well as achieve social integration of compatriots in the Republic of Armenia, he added.
