FBI officers share experience with Armenian counterparts 

ArmInfo. The process of training the employees of the Criminal Police of Armenia in a new  work methodology is coming to an end. In order to further improve their professional skills and exchange experience, the employees of the Criminal Police held a meeting with their colleagues from the  Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Security Service of the US Embassy.

As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs  of the Republic of Armenia, during the meeting, FBI Attache Alex  Tisay presented the main functions and experience of the FBI in  processing, exchanging and using operational information.

Having emphasized the importance of exchanging experience with  international partners as an important component of the educational  process, the head of the educational complex of the Ministry of  Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Manuk Muradyan emphasized  that such meetings will contribute to the development and  strengthening of the professional skills of future employees of the  Criminal Police.

Maritsa Oganesyan, a specialist in the law enforcement cooperation  program to combat drugs, noted that such initiatives will promote  effective communication between law enforcement agencies in the  United States and Armenia and expand cooperation.

During the meeting, active discussions took place between future  criminal police officers and their American colleagues. It was  emphasized that such meetings are aimed at developing the  capabilities of criminal police officers. An agreement was reached to  continue cooperation in possible areas.

Such events, aimed at exchanging experience, contribute to the  formation of a new character of a criminal police officer, the  development of operational and rapid response skills.

The police reforms envisage the creation of four structures - the  Patrol Service, the Criminal Police, the Municipal Police and the  Police Guard. The criminal and municipal police are planned to be  launched in the autumn of this year. Each of these structures will  have its own leader, who will report to the Chief of Police. In the  case of the Police Guard, it is planned to begin recruiting employees  who must apply to the Ministry of Internal Affairs with an  application and take part in the retraining process, which will begin  in early October. Anyone who wishes to take part in the retraining  will be able to do so, but the final decision will be made if the  applicants show positive results.
