Yerevan is one of 53 countries in the European region that has been recognized within the framework of the "One Country, One Story" initiative for significant success in vaccination against human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. This was stated by Siddartha Datta, the Head of the Armenian office of the World Health Organization (WHO), during a meeting with David Karapetyan, the Head of the Yerevan City Hall Health Department.
As reported by the press service of the City Hall, during the meeting the parties also discussed issues related to the development of primary health care, modernizing emergency care, vaccination, introducing a digital health system, including telemedicine, and prospects for further cooperation. In turn, Karapetyan emphasized that the City Hall will actively work in all areas of the WHO "Healthy City" initiative.
