ArmInfo. Today, September 24, the Constitutional Court of Armenia began examining the compliance of the regulations on joint activities of the commission on demarcation of the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia with the Constitution.
"Any international treaty that must be ratified but has not received the appropriate confirmation has no legal force for Armenia. Our task is to determine whether this regulation complies with national interests. If we find any contradictions, rest assured that we will record them. If no problems are revealed, we will also report this," said Arman Dilanyan, Chairman of the Constitutional Court, outside the court building.
At the meeting on September 5, the Government of the Republic of Armenia approved the regulations on joint activities of the commissions for demarcation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. It was then sent to the Constitutional Court, and if approved by the latter, it was sent to the parliament for ratification. The hearings in the Constitutional Court are held behind closed doors.
The signing of the regulations was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country on August 30. And already on September 2, the Armenian authorities published an official announcement on the signing of the Regulation on the regulations on joint activities of the commission for demarcation of the state border and border security between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan and the state commission for demarcation of the state border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia.
