Azerbaijan`s MFA responds to the statement by Canadian Minister on  Artsakh

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry responded in a hysterical manner to the statement of  the head of the Canadian Foreign Ministry Melanie Joly regarding the first anniversary of the Azerbaijani aggression against Artsakh/Nagorno-Karabakh.  The press secretary of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Aykhan Hajizade stated that Baku strongly condemns and completely rejects the statement made by Joly.

Further, Hajizade critisized the Canadian diplomat of allegedly  distorting the facts related to the conflict, and assured that the  conflict ended 4 years ago, and "Azerbaijan's sovereignty over  Karabagh was fully restored in 2023." According to him, the  allegations of a humanitarian crisis in the region reflect "Canada's  clear bias against Azerbaijan." "Canada has no moral right to preach  about how to establish peace and security in our region. We reiterate  that such provocative and biased statements are nothing more than an  obstacle to the future development and progress of the region, based  on respect for the principles of international law," the  representative of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry added.
