Today our  country and people are going through new trials - a  message from the Catholicos of All Armenians

<More than three decades ago, our people  reaffirmed their independent statehood with the vision and commitment  to live in accordance with the sacred values established by our  ancestors, on order to build a bright future for the Motherland. In  this noble aspiration, the children of my nation have together  endured many difficulties and hardships, and have achieved  significant progress and achievements

Today, our native country and people are facing new trials: Artsakh  is occupied, the children of Artsakh are displaced, and peace on the  borders of Armenia is unstable. Once again, we are confronted with  security problems and new threats.  In order to strengthen our state  and withstand external and internal challenges, it is extremely  important for us to be like-minded and to maintain love for the Lord.  This will allow us to reopen the path to glorious victories and  successes. Let us value the gift of independent statehood and  prioritize national, state and universal interests above all else.   Trusting in God, let us ennoble our country with new testimonies of  Faith, Hope and Love. Through our selfless efforts, may we fulfill  our national aspirations and become worthy of the blessing of the  psalmist: <Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord> (Psalm  32:12).

We appeal to the Almighty to keep our native country in peace and  security, to lead our people along the paths of justice and  solidarity, giving our nation a safe and prosperous life in the  Homeland and in the Diaspora around the world," noted the Catholicos  of All Armenians.
