ArmInfo. On September 20, RA Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan received a delegation led by the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Vassilis Maragos.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Justice, during the meeting the Minister pointed out the high level of cooperation with the EU in the context of ensuring democratic reforms and the rule of law in Armenia. Grigor Minasyan also noted the need to deepen cooperation with the EU Criminal Justice Agency (Eurojust), emphasizing the importance of signing the draft working agreement.
The Minister of Justice expressed gratitude to the EU for supporting the renovation of two buildings of the Abovyan Penitentiary Institution and expressed hope that cooperation in this direction will be ongoing. Vasilis Maragos, touching upon the dialogue on visa liberalization with the European Union, pointed out the planned actions in this direction. During the meeting, the issues of implementation of the agreement on comprehensive and enhanced partnership between Armenia and the EU, budget support from the EU, as well as the development of the e-justice system were also discussed.
