ArmInfo. RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received US Deputy Secretary of State Joshua Haque. As reported by the press service of the RA MFA, the interlocutors discussed the bilateral agenda, as well as regional issues. Both sides emphasized the importance of joint efforts in developing a strategic partnership, marking a new milestone in the bilateral relations between Armenia and the United States, and outlined immediate plans.
Along with deepening the political dialogue, the minister mentioned the possibilities of expanding cooperation in various industry areas, including trade development. "Relations between our countries have been developing very dynamically lately, filled with new content, based on strategic dialogue, and we are interested in continuing active cooperation in various areas," Mirzoyan said.
In the context of regional issues, Ararat Mirzoyan and Joshua Hack talked about the regulation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The head of the RA Foreign Ministry emphasized the significance of avoiding any artificial obstacles to finalizing a peace treaty that has been in development for two years and signing an agreed text, that would ensure lasting peace in the South Caucasus. Mirzoyan also reiterated RA's commitment to unblocking regional communications in accordance with well-known principles.
