Number of people injured in the explosions in Lebanon exceeded 2,000

ArmInfo. Due to the explosions of communication devices (pagers) in Lebanon, approximately 2.8 thousand people were injured, with 170 of them in serious condition.

This information was reported by the press service  of the Ministry of Health of Lebanon, as stated by the media.   According to the source, at least 8 people were killed, including a  child. All the wounded were taken to over 100 medical institutions in  Lebanon.  In response to the explosions, issued an  official statement, stating that the competent authorities are  currently conducting investigations to determine the causes of the  simultaneous explosions throughout Lebanon.  The UN Secretary  General's office also expressed extreme concern over the pager  explosions and condemned the loss of civilian lives.
