ArmInfo.The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia has announced the launch of a program to support unemployed people, who were forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh after the well-known events of September 2023.
As reported in the statement from the Ministry of Social Affairs of Armenia, individuals aged 16 to 63 who are registered with the territorial office of the unified social service, unemployed and have not been taxpayers in the last month, are eligible beneficiaries of the program.
The department noted that if the applicant and the employer enter into an employment contract for a period of 6 months or more, then the program provides for the payment of 165,000 drams in wages during the first three months of work. Subsequently, the employer will receive up to 50,000 drams monthly to cover tax liabilities. "To participate in the program, a refugee from Artsakh and an employer must register in advance and submit an application to any territorial office of the unified social service," the Ministry of Social Labor of Armenia informs.
