As reported by the press service of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked Ilham Aliyev for sending a representative sports delegation to the 5th World Nomad Games.
The head of state noted the strong growth in bilateral trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, which reflects a deepening strategic partnership. The President of Kazakhstan emphasized the importance of holding the Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Kazakhstan at the end of September to further strengthen the bond between the peoples of the two countries. In addition, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated his colleague on the successful holding of the parliamentary elections, which were also observed by representatives of Kazakhstan.
The head of Kazakhstan has confirmed the readiness of the Kazakh side to continue providing the Almaty platform for negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia to reach a peace treaty. In turn, Ilham Aliyev announced Baku's intention to continue making efforts to further strengthen cooperation with Astana across all aspects of their bilateral relations. The conversation was purely friendly. To note, at the suggestion of Tokayev, the Almaty platform was first used by Yerevan and Baku in May of this year to further negotiations on a draft peace treaty.
