ArmInfo. The problem of modernizing the new building of the primary health care center in Ltapa will be solved at the expense of the ministry. This was stated by the Minister of Health of Armenia Anahit Avanesyan during a working visit to Gegharkunik region.
As reported by the press service of the RA Ministry of Health, the minister together with the governor Karen Sargsyan visited the Vardenis medical center, where it is planned to carry out work on the modernization of medical institutions. The issue of constructing a new building of the medical center, the process of which is currently in the development stage, was also discussed.
"This year, the volume of state orders, which will be proportionally distributed among the medical institutions of the Gegharkunik region, is also significantly increasing. Our joint work on the implementation of capital construction is also yielding results. All construction work envisaged by state programs will be completed within the established time frame," Avanesyan noted.
During the visit, the minister also discussed with the governor the issues of accessibility of medical services for the population and state programs to improve the quality of healthcare. Particular attention was paid to early cancer detection programs. The Minister noted that on September 2, a breast cancer screening program was launched in Gegharkunik region, conducted by the Fanarjyan National Oncology Center at the request of the Ministry of Health. A mobile mammograph will operate in the cities of Vardenis, Martuni, Gavar, Chambarak and Sevan, providing free treatment for breast tumors detected at an early stage.
