ArmInfo. The annual book festival Yerevan Book Fest presented the program of events scheduled for September 6-8. The festival will kick off on September 6, at 12:00, in the Hall of Murals at the National Art Gallery, where a temporary exhibition titled "Ring of Misak Metsarents" will also open.
The first day of the festival will feature a meeting of book lovers and special guests, including Latvian writer Nora Ikstena, the author of the novel "Mother's Milk" and Russian writer and journalist Shamil Idiatulin. On September 6, there will be presentations of books by Armenian writers and poets such as Mher Israelyan and Gemafin Gasparyan. In addition, literary discussions, battles and literary stand-up performances are also expected.
The second day of the festival will start with a presentation of a collection of poems by Husik Ara "When I Love You." Additionally, there will be a meeting with Russian writer Vladislav Otroshenko and Slovenian writer and poet Goran Vojnovic. On September 7, there will also be a presentation of Karen Antashyan's book, discussions on literary works, genres, pitching sessions, and a one-man show. On the final day of the festival, participants will have the opportunity to attend meetings with Italian poetess Valentina Colonna, Georgian poetess Diana Anpimiadi, Spanish poetess Teresa Juan Lopez, and Russian writer and playwright Oleg Shishkin. There will be an award ceremony honoring the best writers in the categories of "Prose", "Poetry", "Children's and Youth Literature," and "Drama," as per tradition.
