Armenian students win 2 bronze medals at International Olympiad in  Informatics in Chisinau

ArmInfo. The Armenian team won 2 bronze medals at the 8th European Junior Olympiad in Informatics  (EJOI), held in Chisinau, from August 16 to 22.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and  Sports of Armenia (MOECS). Bronze medals were won by Tigran  Matsakyan, a 9th-grade student of the Physics and Mathematics  Specialized School named after A. Shahinyan, and Arman Kirakosyan, a  9th-grade student of  Gyumri's "Foton" College. Vahagn Gyozalyan, a  9th-grade student of the A. Shahinyan Physics and Mathematics  Specialized School, was awarded a certificate of commendation.  According to the source, the team was led by YSU students Samvel  Andreasyan and Samvel Abelyan. YSU lecturer Armen Andreasyan was a  member of the EJOI Olympic Committee.  In 2023, the 7th European  Junior Olympiad in Informatics was held in Kutaisi, Georgia, where  the Armenian team won one gold, one silver and one bronze medal.
