Aliyev, Pashinyan reach strategic agreement: Armenia at stake - Vahe Hovhannisyan

The West negotiated for its strategic  interests, and Armenia negotiated for the sake of Nikol's power. It  was this fundamental subtlety of the negotiations that made it  possible to reach agreements>, - Hovhannisyan noted on the social  network.

The algorithm of actions, as the expert believes, will be as follows:  before the parliamentary elections in Armenia, Azerbaijan gives Nikol  the opportunity to feed the Armenian society with emotions of peace,  possibly in the form of some pre-signed paper, softened rhetoric,  public promises to achieve final peace with Armenia, etc. Perhaps  there will also be threats from proxy figures about what will happen  in the event of a refusal from Nikol.

In order to counter these and other monstrous scenarios, Armenia must  emerge from its senseless state and fill its present and future with  political content, the political scientist believes. , he emphasized. At the same  time, according to Hovhannisyan, Azerbaijan will violate the  Aliyev-Nikol agreements in the event of a certain development of  events - and we must be prepared for this.

"If tensions in the Middle East sharply increase with the  participation of Iran or the scale of the Russian- Ukrainian war  increases, then Aliyev will not care about COP-29, any shadow  agreements, as well as assurances given to the West, and he will take  advantage of the situation.  Our deep problem at the upcoming stage  is to turn from a thoughtless Armenia (at best, emotional) into a  political Armenia," summed up Vahe Hovhannisyan
