ArmInfo. The Armenian Foreign Ministry has commented vaguely on the possibility of dissolving the OSCE Minsk Group.
In particular, Radio Liberty asked the Foreign Ministry whether Azerbaijan makes the dissolution of the Minsk Group a precondition for signing a peace treaty? Why does Yerevan not agree to the dissolution and is it possible that in the future Armenia will change its mind and submit a joint statement with Baku on the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group?
The Foreign Ministry responded to these questions with one sentence: "The Armenian side may consider the issue of continuing the Minsk process in the context of a comprehensive settlement of relations and, above all, the conclusion of a peace treaty."
Earlier, Azerbaijan demanded that the Constitution of Armenia be amended and the OSCE Minsk Group be jointly dissolved in order to sign a peace agreement. Aliyev also stated that Armenia does not agree with the dissolution of the Minsk Group.
