ArmInfo. The income of militiamen serving on the front lines has decreased not because of salary cuts, but because of the exclusion of combat allowances. ArmInfo was told about this by sources in the security forces familiar with the situation.
Earlier, journalist Voskan Sargsyan reported on his Facebook page that the salaries of militiamen serving in combat positions have been reduced.
"For half a month, militiamen serving in dangerous positions on the border received 180,000 drams per month.
Their salaries were reduced by 60,000 drams, so some of the militiamen quit the service," the journalist noted.
ArmInfo sources in security circles familiar with the situation explained the situation, noting that the payments were reduced due to the exclusion of combat allowances. "According to the procedure, a militiaman's salary is 120 thousand plus certain allowances for assigned tasks. In conditions when a militiaman is not assigned a task, he receives his regular salary, without any allowances," the source noted.
