ArmInfo. An earthquake has  occurred in Armenia. This was reported by the Rescue Service of the  Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic.

As the source notes, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 was  recorded by the seismological network of the territorial service of  seismic protection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the  Republic of Armenia on August 12 at 02:02 local time, 9 km northwest  of the city of Martuni. At the epicenter, the strength of the tremors  was 5-6 points.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5 was felt in the Gegharkunik  region, 4 points - in the Kotayk region, and 2-3 points - in the city  of Yerevan.
