ArmInfo. The preliminary  investigation into the case of banditry and theft against an Indian  citizen has been completed and the materials, along with the  indictment, have been sent to court.  This information was provided  in a statement by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of  Armenia.  

According to the source, on June 26, 2024 at 20:15, a 43-year-old  citizen of the Republic of India, residing in Yerevan, reported that  two compatriots tied him up, kept him locked up, beat him, threatened  him with violence, subjected him to sexual harassment and committed  degrading acts related to filming a nude video and sending it to his  relatives with a demand for money.  

A criminal case has been initiated in the Investigative Committee of  the Republic of Armenia under several articles of the Criminal Code.  As a result of investigative and procedural actions, significant  details of the incident have been established, including the motives  and identities of the individuals who allegedly committed the crime.  Arrest has been implemented as a preventive measure against two  people.
