ArmInfo. Since 2018, the state has increased funding for scientific and technical research in the defense sector several times. This was announced during the visit of the Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan to the military-industrial enterprise Aragats, which has been operating in Armenia since 1992.

As a result of such a state policy, a number of Armenian companies in the military-industrial complex, including Aragats LLC, have expanded their development scope and production volumes. Accompanied by the head of the company Hovhannes Gharibyan, the minister toured the company, got acquainted with the latest reforms and production volumes.

This company specializes in the design, development and serial production of electronic devices for military purposes. It was here that thermal imagers for the Fagot anti-tank system were fully developed and manufactured. The company's director noted that similar devices are manufactured in different countries around the world, and Armenian production is not inferior to them in quality, and the price is about 4 times lower.

Hovhannes Gharibyan also emphasized that the manufactured range is fully used by the RA Ministry of Defense, and the production volumes and capabilities of the plant allow for the establishment of export deliveries in the near future.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of expanding production areas, creating new infrastructures and options for achieving these goals
