Olympic House of Armenia opens in Paris

ArmInfo.On the eve of the 33rd  Summer Olympic Games in Paris, the Olympic House of Armenia has  officially opened, which will become a meeting place for Armenian  athletes, fans and representatives of the Diaspora.

The face of the Olympic House of Armenia has become the world  champion in football Youri Djorkaeff.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education,  Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia (MECS).

During the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education, Science,  Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Karen Giloyan presented  the details of the initiative.

"The athletes will come to the Olympic House of Armenia the day after  their performances, talk to journalists and fans, and fans will be  able to watch the athletes' performances on a large screen installed  in the house," the Deputy Minister said. He also said that the  Olympic House of Armenia will operate in the building of the  "Armenian General Benevolent Union" (AGBU).

The President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan thanked  the athletes of the Armenian national team for the opportunity to  represent the country at the 33rd Olympic Games.

"There is only one expectation - to see the raised flag of Armenia  and joyful, victorious smiles," said Vahagn Khachaturyan, wishing  success to our athletes.

In turn, the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of  Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan emphasized that Armenia will host the  Francophonie Sports and Cultural Games in 2027, expressing readiness  to host about 6,000 athletes from all over the world. "In this  regard, studying the French experience is also an important aspect,"  he noted.
