ArmInfo. In Armenia, 80.3% of respondents are against changing the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia. According to the results of the "Constitution - Napkin" survey conducted by the consulting company MPG - the exclusive representative of the International Association GALLUP in Armenia, at the beginning of the year, there were much fewer speakers against changing the Constitution (38.1%).
11.7% of respondents are of the opinion that there is a need to amend only some provisions of the Constitution, whereas in January 34.2% of citizens thought so.
It is noteworthy that only 3.3% of respondents want to see a new Constitution; at the beginning of the year, 13.4% of respondents were in favor of completely changing the Constitution. 4.7% found it difficult to answer (versus 14.4% in January of this year).
At the same time, the majority of respondents (39.4%) negatively assess the process of demarcation and delimitation of the border initiated by Nikol Pashinyan's government; 17.5% of citizens have a rather negative view, 21.2% have a rather positive view, and only 16.7% of respondents expressed unequivocal support for the state. 5.2% found it difficult to answer.
In general, citizens participating in the survey have a negative attitude towards the activities of the Prime Minister. In May, 41.1% held this opinion; in July, their number decreased slightly to 40.3%. 14.5% are rather dissatisfied with the work of the prime minister, while in May there were more of them (18.6%), 21.7% are rather satisfied (versus 18.7% in May). At the same time, 13.4% of respondents have a completely positive assessment of Pashinyan's activities (versus 9.1% in May).
However, even with such an assessment, among the political forces, the majority of respondents are ready to vote for the ruling party "Civil Contract" (GD). If parliamentary elections were held next Sunday, 14.4% of respondents would vote for the State Duma, 3.7% - the "Armenia" bloc, 3.5% - Vardan Ghukasyan's party, 2.3% - "I have the honor >, 1.5% - for Bagrat Srbazan, 1.2% - "Prosperous Armenia", 0.6% - "Republic". 8.6% - do not want to vote for any of the parties represented, 7.1% - completely refused to answer, 22.5% - found it difficult to answer, and the majority of respondents (32.5%) - do not intend to take part in the vote.
At the same time, over the course of 2 months, the number of supporters of the Tavush in the Name of the Motherland movement, led by Archbishop Bagrat Srbazan, sharply decreased. In particular, in May of this year. 35.1% of respondents said they had a completely positive assessment of this movement, and already in July their number dropped to 18.3%. 17.8% of respondents responded positively to the movement in May; their number in July decreased to 15.5%. In May, 23.5% of citizens had a clearly negative attitude towards Bagrat Srbazan's activities within the framework of the movement's struggle; by July, their number increased to 32.4%. It was noted that 10% of respondents had a rather negative attitude in May, and in July it was already 14.9%. In May, 13.6% found it difficult to answer, in July - 18.9%.
When asked what policy Armenia should follow in the Artsakh issue, the majority of survey participants (33.3%) expressed the opinion that it is necessary to create decent conditions for the Artsakh people to return home; 29.5% believe that they should wait for more convenient times so that in the future raise the Artsakh issue again, 21.5% noted that one should strive to restore control over Artsakh and only 10.2% are confident that the Artsakh page should be closed in order to avoid future problems. 4.6% of respondents found it difficult to answer, 0.9% provided other options.
The survey was conducted through telephone calls to residents of Armenia during the period from July 3 to July 6 of this year. The sample size was 1100, error +/- 3%.
