Armenia, China to cooperate in biomedicine

ArmInfo.The National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and Shandong University discussed  the development of cooperation in the field of biomedicine and the development of methods for treating cancer and genetic diseases. 

According to the press service of the National Academy of Sciences of  the Republic of Armenia, this was stated by the director of the  Institute of Molecular Biology Arsen Arakelyan during a meeting with  a delegation of Shandong University (PRC) led by the president of the  university, Professor Xinchang Han.

President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of  Armenia, academician Ashot Saghyan outlined the successful  cooperation between Shandong University and the Institute of  Molecular Biology in organizing the production of PCR tests that  detect infection during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. And in 2023, a  cooperation agreement was signed between the academies of sciences of  China and Armenia.

The President of Shandong University, Professor Xinchang Han,  emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation with the Armenian  side.
