ArmInfo. At the International Scientific Olympiad in Physics in Khanty-Mansiysk, the Armenian team won 2 silver and 6 bronze medals. In total, 108 students from 19 countries took part in the Olympiad. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia.
All participants are students of the Physics and Mathematics School named after. A. Shahinyan and high school of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia. In particular, Arsen Aghayan, a student of the physics and mathematics school, and Artem Gasparyan, a student of the NPUA high school, received a silver medal. Bronze medalists were NPUA high school students Armen Gazazyan, Narek Movsisyan and Arsen Asatryan, and from the physics and mathematics school - Narek Galstyan, Smbat Poghosyan and Gor Hasratyan.
The International Scientific Physics Olympiad was organized and held for the first time in 2023 by the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. In 2024, the organizers of the Olympiad were the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation with the support of the Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
