ArmInfo. Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan received Florence Provendier, Coordinator for Armenian-French Cooperation at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the multi-sectoral cooperation existing between the two countries.
In particular, they touched upon further steps to implement the roadmap "Armenian-French economic cooperation for 2021-2026" and the prospects for decentralized cooperation.
The interlocutors outlined steps aimed at further deepening cooperation between the two countries and implementing target programs.
According to the RA Statistical Committee, foreign trade turnover between Armenia and France decreased by 16.9% year-on-year in January-April 2024, to $42 million. At the same time, exports decreased by 27.5% to $2.1 million, against the backdrop of a 16.3% decline in imports to $39.9 million.
