ArmInfo.Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev considers the statement of Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan that Russia allegedly handed over Artsakh to Azerbaijan <an attempt to cover up the defeat of the previous and current military-political leadership of Armenia, to shift the blame to others and justify themselves."
"We note with regret that such statements are evidence that dreams of revanchism still remain in the minds of the military-political leadership of Armenia. We advise those in the military-political leadership of Armenia to completely abandon fantasies about revisionism and revanchism and put an end to the policy of militarization in order not to repeat historical mistakes," - according to APA, Hajiyev said.
On June 26, in a conversation with journalists, RA Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan said that Russia came to Nagorno-Karabakh, handed it over to Azerbaijan and returned back to Russia. "When Armenia was completely dependent on Russia, didn't we have a war? We did. Let's record that we got into a war because of this situation, we tried to bring stability with these changes and we are confident that these changes will bring stability," the Security Council Secretary said, speaking about the change in the foreign policy vector. Grigoryan emphasized that it was Russia that seized Nagorno-Karabakh, without its permission there would have been no war.
