ArmInfo. If urgent steps are not taken, soon all of Armenia will become Kirants and Tigranashen. This was stated on June 21 in a conversation with journalists in the village of Kirants by one of the leaders of the "Tavush in the name of the Motherland" movement, a deputy of the National RA meetings from the opposition faction <Armenia> Garnik Danielyan.
Today the leaders of the movement, led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, visited the village of Kirants, Tavush region, to study on the spot the situation with the delimitation and demarcation of borders with Azerbaijan.
Danielyan emphasized that in addition to the paper renouncing property and asking for compensation, people are given another paper to sign, the contents of which are very dark and incomprehensible.
For example, as the parliamentarian noted, the agreement with local residents clearly states their renunciation of "property and other rights." "But it does not indicate what is meant by the concept of <other rights>? I think that they are doing this specifically so that in the future it will not be possible to initiate a criminal case against government officials. After the change of power, they must bear criminal responsibility for this unconstitutional process. Now it is impossible to do this, but the power will still change, and the current rulers will be punished," Danielyan said. According to him, there are people in Kirantsa who have cadastral certificates and did not take the money offered by the authorities. <People don't want to share responsibility with power. The entire government apparatus works with the villagers. Pressure is being exerted by security forces and local governments," the deputy said. According to him, information is already being received that, according to the same scheme, work has already begun with the residents of Tigranashen, with whom both officials and special services are working. "They do not talk about their intentions to surrender this village. They only ask whether the residents of Tigranashen are ready to sell their property? Soon the whole of Armenia will become Kirants and Tigranashen," Danielyan concluded.
On April 19, the Armenian Foreign Ministry, following the results of the eighth meeting of state commissions, announced that Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed to begin delimitation from the Tavush region and by July 1 to complete the approval of the draft regulations on the joint activities of delimitation commissions. Since the evening of the same day, residents of the border villages of Tavush, dissatisfied with the agreements between Yerevan and Baku, held protests, which ultimately resulted in the "Tavush in the name of the Motherland" movement. According to the decision of the commissions, Azerbaijan will have to receive two houses, a bridge, a section of the road towards Georgia and about 50 plots of land.
