Aram I meets with Iranian ambassador 

ArmInfo. Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I, at a meeting with Iranian Ambassador  to the country Muchtapi Amani, emphasized the right of Artsakh Armenians to return to their homes with international guarantees.

As reported by the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia, the  conversation took place as part of the visit of the Iranian  Ambassador to Lebanon to the Catholicosate, accompanied by political  officials from the embassy. During the meeting, the interlocutors  focused on the Lebanese presidential elections.

Touching upon the issue of Artsakh, the Catholicos emphasized the  right of Artsakh Armenians to return with international guarantees  and recalled the importance of the speedy release of political  prisoners in Azerbaijan. In this regard, Aram the First asked Iran to  intervene, taking into account the historical and friendly relations  existing between Iran and Armenia.
