Mother Armenia Movement: Government repressions against people prove  that Armenia is among worst dictatorships

ArmInfo.Following the illegal use of disproportionate force and special means by the police against  the participants of the rally near the building of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on June 12, the government is trying to create an atmosphere of fear in Armenia by resorting to large-scale repressions. This is stated in the statement of the Mother Armenia movement.

As noted in the statement, the authorities are attempting to  eliminate any manifestations of resistance, as a result of which new  political prisoners have appeared in the country. "Not only the  participants of the June 12 rally are being persecuted, but also  people sympathizing with the movement, in particular, the owner of  the GG taxi service. In addition, the ARF party, which is known to be  part of the opposition camp represented in the National Assembly of  our country, has become a direct target of the government. This is an  attempt by the government to silence the political opposition in the  legislative body. We call on the political forces of Armenia,  non-governmental organizations, local and international human rights  organizations to condemn the behavior of the RA government. What is  happening proves that Armenia is among the worst dictatorships," the  statement of the Mother Armenia movement reads.
