ArmInfo. The Armed Forces of Artsakh were subordinate to the RA Ministry of Defense until the last second, being its territorial unit, and RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan knows this very well. Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan told journalists on June 13, commenting on today's statement by the head of the Armenian government that the Nagorno-Karabakh authorities surrendered the republic to Azerbaijan in two hours, as well as all the accumulated weapons worth billions of dollars.
"They should not look for those responsible for this matter. A few hours later, we realized that we were alone. "It was simply impossible to resist the armed forces of Azerbaijan with a ratio of 1 to 12, it was necessary to save people's lives," the President of Artsakh specified.
He added that the people of Artsakh had seen three wars. "They endured not two hours, as Pashinyan said, but 32 years. Every seven-year-old Artsakh resident has seen three wars, we left when we realized that we were alone, and we had to save people's lives," Shahramanyan noted.
He emphasized that the military-political leadership of Artsakh, which is currently in prisons in Baku, has become a living hostage, thereby ensuring the withdrawal of the population from Nagorno-Karabakh. In this way, the Artsakh president commented on Pashinyan's claims that these people have practically become deserters. However, Shahramanian promised to address this issue later.
