ArmInfo.The RA National Security Service calls on supporters of the Tavush for the Motherland movement to maintain the rule of law and not violate public order.
The NSS message emphasizes that, as part of its function of maintaining constitutional order, the NSS will take steps to neutralize any illegal actions. "Taking into account the mission of the National Security Service to protect the constitutional order from any attacks, we confirm that any illegal behavior will be neutralized using all tools provided by law," the NSS statement emphasizes.
The "Tavush for the Motherland" movement has been holding protests of disobedience since May 10, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan due to the situation with the border. The leader of the movement, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, was chosen as a candidate for prime minister from the protest movement.
Mass protests began in Armenia after Baku and Yerevan agreed on April 19 to reconcile the Armenian- Azerbaijani border on its northern section.
