ArmInfo. Participants of the protest movement "Tavush in the name of the Motherland" continue to block one of the central streets of Yerevan - Baghramyan Avenue.
Before entering the territory of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, they began to offer cold coffee to the police, who had cordoned off the surrounding area with a tight cordon. Since night, protesters demanding the resignation of Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan have erected a pillar at the gates of the National Assembly with the inscription "delimitation", thereby hinting at the illegal nature of the process of delimitation and demarcation of borders with Azerbaijan carried out in the Tavush region of the republic.
The opposition factions "Armenia" and "I Have the Honor" represented in the National Assembly tried to put on the agenda of the National Assembly a draft parliamentary message on the possibility of resignation of the government and the prime minister. However, the ruling majority, represented by the Civil Contract party, failed this initiative.
The protest movement began after the authorities began the process of delimiting borders in the Tavush region. As part of this process, part of the territory of the village of Kirants, which includes two houses, a bridge, a section of the interstate road to Georgia and about 50 land plots, should go to Azerbaijan, which was opposed by citizens who believe that the Armenian authorities are unilaterally handing over part of the country's territory to the enemy.
