ArmInfo. The opposition in the National Assembly of Armenia did not raise the issue of a vote of no confidence in the government and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, presenting only a draft parliamentary message. Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan stated this on June 11 in a conversation with journalists.
It is curious, the parliamentarian continued, that not all opposition deputies signed the presented document. In particular, MP Ishkhan Zakaryan and two other members of the "I Have the Honor" faction did not put their signatures on the draft message. Rubinyan noted that the pro-government faction, even if an initiative for a vote of no confidence is presented, will reject it. The vice speaker also said that the opposition will not receive power from the ruling Civil Contract party, since the transfer of power is the prerogative of the people, who will decide this issue during the next parliamentary elections, which will be held in 2026.
As for the possibility of opposition deputies resigning their mandates, as Rubinyan noted, no constitutional or legislative crisis will arise. "Maybe there will be a little silence in the parliament, but nothing more," said the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
